Previous Work Undertaken
Below is a list of just some of the work that the young people at
Mouth That Roars have done over the years.
- 'Hackney Impact Arts academy' - Mouth That Roars, Rising Tide
and Eastside Educational Trust have been supported by Hackney
Children's Services to provide Hackney Young People aged
between 13-19 years with some exciting opportunities.
- 'Youth News'. Six short news programmes produced
by young people, dealing with local, national and global
issues from street crime to smoking.
- 'Think Positive'. A documentary challenging the
media portrayal of 'looked after' young people.
- 'Our Today'. A documentary exploring the lives
of young Bengali and Somali women living in East London.
- 'Global Peace Our Dream'. This piece follows the
role of the London Youth Parliament leading up to the global
cease-fire day on 21st September 2002. It documents
the production of the CD that is being produced to promote
this event.
- 'Just Another Day'. A film produced for Newham
Asian Women's Project that explores the impact of domestic
violence and child abuse.
- 'Whose London'. The importance of young people
having a political voice.
- 'UR Decision'. Alternative energy sources.
- 'Stephanie's Story'. Looking at why Stephanie excluded
herself from mainstream school in order to give herself
a better education.
- 'Children's Rights'. The Government's record on
children's rights children and young people tell it how
it is.
- 'Seeing Is Believing'. A documentary looking at
the real Eastend life.
- 'Snap'. The making of a community film.
- 'Back On Ground Level'. A documentary exploring
peoples thoughts and feelings moving from Tower Blocks to
Houses.
- 'Hackney Festivals'. Multi-cultural Hackney through
the eyes of festivity.
- 'Dealing With Drugs'. A look at why and who uses
drugs.
- 'Hoxton Hall Young People's Theatre'. A promotional
documentary.
- '24-7'. A documentary looking at young parenthood.
- 'Lets Make a Documentary' Southwark/Hackney Summer
University Courses.
- 'A National Voice'. A promotional CD ROM for Hertfordshire
Social Services.
- 'Colour Blind'. A short film focusing on the subject
of racism.
- 'My Journey'. A documentary following the story
of a young gay man.
- 'Children and Play'. Warrington Children's Society
project.
- 'Children in Care Conference'. A promotional piece
for Children's Rights.
